The selected candidate will assist and support Bourns customer’s by answering incoming calls from people who may have questions regarding products, product features, quotes, order requirements, distributor information and inventory availability. The preferred candidate will have the ability to read datasheets and help guide customers through our website to use the information available to help them choose the right product for the customer. The CSA will also assist the Inside Sales team by the creation and/or disbursement of daily reports and various other office functions as required by the team. Requirements include excellent telephone and email communication skills; math skills, working knowledge of the internet, attention-to-details, attendance and dependability as well as the ability to multi-task. The CSA will be expected to have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team as required as you will be assigned specific accounts for which you will be responsible for supporting daily, and/or backup during absences. PC skills at 40 wpm using MS Word and Excel required; SAP preferred. Excellent opportunity for internship or student within technical specialties. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Bourns, Inc. is seeking a Product Line Manager for our GDT (Gas Discharge Tubes) line in our Circuit Protection Division in Riverside, CA.
If you want to be responsible for:
- The strategic direction of the product line
- Achieving gross margin targets
- Providing market focused leadership with a primary directive to increase market share for Bourns products and facilitate booking of orders.
- Direct activities at all levels of the Company related to understanding the markets, applications and competition for the assigned product group.
- Interface regularly with Operations, Engineering, Sales, and customers to insure priority establishment, continuity of purpose, and profitable asset allocation.
- Provide leadership and understand customer requirements for capturing and maintaining business.
- Manage product life cycles and provide leadership for new product development.
And you have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Marketing; MBA desired
- 6-10 Years experience in related technical, marketing or sales field of electronics, include product management
- Indepth knowledge of GDT market products
- Regulatory requirements and market requirements of GDT components
- International Telecommunications and/or Telephony market experience preferred
- Strong project management skills
- Fundamental financial analysis skills

to support Bourns’ Circuit Protection Group, including PTC, Thyristor, TVS, TBU and magnetic products in the field on existing and new programs. Bourns’ broad portfolio of protection products, including ceramic, polymer and silicon technologies, allows tremendous flexibility in solving customer application protection problems from ESD to power line protection.
Based in Central Europe, either near Bourns offices in Sauerlach (close to München) / Germany or in Baar / Switzerland, or working from a Home Office with an international airport nearby (choice of the job incumbent) with a manageable level of travel, this position will provide an opportunity to work with some of the largest telecom and datacom companies to help develop and deliver cutting-edge circuit protection solutions.
As a member of a global FAE team, this role provides expert technical support to existing and new customers as well as working with the R&D / Product Development teams on follow-on products and next generation devices.
Your Responsibilities
- Direct technical sales support including substantial face-to-face contact with our best customers.
- Create and assist design wins by working with the Marketing and the Sales team to identify opportunities and drive solutions at new and existing customers.
- Collect and disseminate market intelligence.
- Identify and specify follow-on products and next generation devices which best meet market demands.
- Act as the technical liaison between the customer and the product and engineering teams.
Your Profile
The successful candidate will have an engineering degree, with equivalent experience in developing and/or supporting electronic circuit protection hardware solutions in the field. Fluency in English plus at least one other Western European language is required.
The following experience is highly desirable:
- A strong working knowledge of analogue circuitry as well as telecommunications applications and their requirements for protection.
- Knowledge of relevant circuit protection devices (e.g. Thyristor overvoltage protectors, GDT’s, TVS arrays and Thermistor products).
- Strong presentation, written and spoken communication skills coupled with cultural awareness and sensitivity.
- Strong organization, meeting management, and time management skills.

Ihre Aufgaben
Gestalten Sie die nächste Generation unserer Weg- und Winkelsensorik im Fahrzeug in einem engagierten, interdisziplinären Team mit! Sie ent¬wer¬fen und implementieren SW-Komponenten zur Ablaufsteuerung, Eigendiagnose, Kommunikation und Datenauswertung für unsere Embedded Systeme. Dabei führen Sie eigenverantwortlich Anforderungsanalysen, Konzeptentwicklungen und Realisierungen für Softwarearchitekturen in Abstimmung mit den Kunden durch. Sie arbeiten gemäß dem SW Life-Cycle Management Prozess (Architektur, Implementierung, Integration, Test, Dokumentation) und unterstützen die Entwicklung der benötigten Verifikationssysteme.
Ihr Profil
Sie verfügen über ein erfolgreich abgeschlossenes technisches oder natur¬wissenschaftliches Studium und mindestens drei Jahre Berufspraxis in der hardwarenahen Softwareentwicklung für Automotive Applikationen.
Daher können Sie unbedingt folgende Kenntnisse und Erfahrungen einbringen:
- Fundierte Programmierkenntnisse in C für 8- und 16-Bit Mikrokontroller
- Umgang mit elektronischem Test-Equipment (z.B. Oszilloskop, In-Circuit Debugger)
- V-Modell Entwicklungsprozess
- Erfahrungen in der SW-Entwicklung von sicherheitsrelevanten Systemen gemäß IEC 61508 oder ISO 26262
- Hardware-Software Schnittstellentests und Debugging
- Versionskontrolle, Bugtracking und Anforderungsmanagement
- Dokumentation von Testresultaten gemäß Automotive SPICE, ISO 26262 etc.
Zudem sind folgende fachliche Kenntnisse von Vorteil:
- Codeanalysetools zur Complianceprüfung (z.B. Polyspace, Coverity)
- Hardware-Entwicklung von analogen und digitalen Schaltungen
- Modellbasiertes Design, MathWorks Matlab/Simulink
- Kommunikations-Technologien wie CAN, FlexRay
Neben Ihrer fachlichen Kompetenz überzeugen Sie durch Selbständigkeit, Belastbarkeit, Eigenverantwortung und Engagement - kurz gesagt, Sie haben eine „hands on“ Mentalität.
