Insulators

As opposed to conductors, other materials are composed of atoms which exert a strong hold on their electrons. Electrical current moves poorly through such materials.

These materials are said to be good insulators. Typical insulators include dry wood, dry air, mica, rubber, glass, paper, asbestos, plastics, and ceramics.
