3540 Family

Model 3540 is one of Bourns' most popular precision potentiometers and has become an industry standard. This 10-turn wirewound model emulates the construction of the 3400 series in a smaller package.

The 3540 is very similar to the 3500 series and is considered a low cost substitute. This model is competitive in price and specification with other 10-turn wirewound precision potentiometers that are 7/8 in. diameter in size.

The 3540 was developed as a flexible, easily modified version of the 3500 series precision potentiometer. The intent of this model is to address custom or modified product applications where there is opportunity for significant production volume.

The 3540 family includes four models:

  • 3540 - 10-turn wirewound
  • 3541 - 10-turn Hybritron®
  • 3543 - 3-turn wirewound
  • 3545 - 5-turn wirewound
