Introduction

As you know, trimmers are resistive devices which are designed to be adjusted. There are also resistive devices which cannot be adjusted, so their resistance is fixed. These resistive devices are known as discrete resistors when they are used singly, and as resistor networks when several are manufactured in a single unit. Capacitive devices are also combined separately or with resistive devices to form resistor-capacitor or capacitor networks.

Our marketing goal is to become the world leader in high-volume resistor and capacitor networks. We aim to achieve this leadership through a combination of high quality products, excellent availability and delivery, and superior customer service.

Worldwide leadership begins by gaining an understanding of our customers, their needs, and how Bourns can satisfy those needs. The main benefits of your successfully completing this module are that:

  • you will be better able to understand your customer's needs
  • you will feel more confident about talking to your customer about networks
  • you will be able to help your customer select the Bourns® network that best meets their needs
  • you will be able to select the most cost-effective network which meets your customer's requirements
