When my parents, Marlan and Rosemary Bourns, began work in their tiny garage in 1947, could they have envisioned that their products would someday be found in automobiles, cellular telephones, notebook computers, futuristic amusement park rides, and even in aerial reconnaissance cameras used in Desert Storm?
Impossible perhaps. But they indeed had a vision for their fledgling company. My parents founded our company around a simple philosophy: provide top-quality products, responsive service and high value for our customers. These ideals are still the benchmarks of Bourns, Inc. today.
After more than 55 years in business, Bourns continues to grow because of the company's strong market and customer focus, its commitment to quality, reliability, service and innovation. Bourns continues to invest in new products, whether these products are developed by the Bourns organization or are the result of acquisitions or licensing of technologies.
