Bourns Introduces New 10/100 Base-Tx Transformer as Optimal Inductive Component Solution for MB and ADSL Modems

Riverside, Calif., June 10, 2014 - Bourns, Inc., a leading manufacturer and supplier of electronic components, today introduced its new 10/100 Base-Tx Transformer. Designated the Bourns® Model PT61018PEL, it is an addition to the company's comprehensive inductive components product family. This LAN transformer features a single-port, small size, potted construction design that makes it an optimal solution for Ethernet MB and ADSL-based modems. Bourns' new LAN 10/100 Base-Tx transformer is also ideal for harsh environment applications offering extended temperature range (-40 to +85 °C) operation with 1.5K Vrms isolation voltage. The PT61018PEL can be used as alternate transformer to Bourns' existing Model PT61018EL, and offers a significantly shorter production lead time of 10 weeks compared to the existing model.

Pricing and Availability As a pricing reference, the Bourns® model PT61018PEL is priced at $0.60 each in 5000 piece quantities. Available immediately, the new LAN transformer is IEEE 802.3 Ethernet compatible, is offered in a dual channel 16-pin SMD package and is RoHS compliant*.
