 Bourns Revolutionizes Telecom Line by Introducing Integrated Protection Assembly with MSP® Technology

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Sept. 16, 2002 – Bourns, Inc., a leading manufacturer of electronic components and integrated solutions, today announced the introduction of Integrated Protection Assembly (IPA) Model 2360. Model 2360 provides station protection and subscriber interface in a single housing, protecting homes from the potential hazards of overvoltage faults due to lightning or power-cross.
The Bourns® 2360 features Multi Stage Protection (MSP®) technology, offering a protection product with the best of both technologies – the robust, current-handling capability of a gas discharge tube and the quick reaction time of solid state protection. The product is ideal for today's high-speed broad bandwidth services. With snap-in mounting, the Bourns® 2360 series is easy to install and fits into popular 2006-style Network Interface Device (NID) boxes. The 2360 offers heavy-duty construction, stainless steel hardware and an auto-switching subscriber test jack with protective cover. Bourns also offers a matching line of IPA DSL filters, part numbers 3612 and 3632.

Limited quantities of the Bourns® 2360 series are now available, and pricing begins at $16.00 per unit. Samples are now offered for evaluation.
