Bourns, Inc. Acquires Assets of MMC's Switch Power Products Business

RIVERSIDE, CA - February 17, 2004 - Bourns, Inc., a leading manufacturer of electronic components and integrated solutions is pleased to announce that it has purchased from Microelectronic Modules Corporation (MMC) substantially all of the assets of MMC's Switch Power products business. According to Dr. L. Erik Meijer, VP of Circuit Protection, this Switch Power asset purchase extends Bourns current offering into DC/DC converter solutions and further strengthens Bourns position as a leading supplier of devices and solutions for the electronics industry throughout the world. Switch Power products include High Density Low Voltage (HDLV) non-isolated converters, 24V and 48V Bricks and power modules for ringing SLICs (Subscriber Line Interface Circuits). With a focus on the communications market, Switch Power holds several patents with respect to ultra-fast transient response and tight efficiency line and load regulation.
