|
| |
RIVERSIDE, Calif. – February 27, 2002 -- Bourns, Inc., a leading manufacturer of electronic components and integrated solutions, today announced the introduction of the PEC11, a 12mm incremental encoder. The new model enhances Bourns’ current encoder offerings, including the PEC12 and PEC16.
The Bourns® PEC11 is a low cost alternative solution to optical-type encoders where extended life and a processing seal are not required. The PEC11 is a precision contacting-type encoder in a compact, square package. Constructed with metal shaft and metal bushing, the product is ideal for applications where high reliability and a rugged design are required. The PEC11 comes in a choice of 12, 18, and 24 pulses per revolution. Detents and a momentary push switch are added options. Shaft lengths available are 15mm, 20mm, 25mm, and 30mm.
The PEC11 is a versatile product and can be used for many industries. Audio applications include mixing consoles, outboard equipment and amplifiers. Automotive applications include climate controls, sound systems and navigation systems. The PEC11 can also operate in industrial equipment controls, test and measurement equipment, medical equipment, consumer electronic appliances, and communications equipment. Pricing and Availability
Based on quantities of 500 pieces, the price per piece is @body.68 for model PEC11-xxxxF-Sxxxx (switch version) and @body.67 for model PEC11-xxxxF-Nxxxx (no switch). The encoders are now available and sample quantities are offered.
