 Bourns Offers Protection for T1/E1/E3 Systems with a Low-Voltage Triple TISP®

RIVERSIDE, Calif. - July 23, 2002 - Bourns, Inc., a leading manufacturer of electronic components and integrated solutions, today announced the introduction of the TISP70xxD series of thyristor integrated surge protectors. With high-speed data access systems gaining more importance in the modern world of telecommunications, Bourns has developed two new triple thyristor surge protectors ideal for T1/E1/E3, xDSL and high-speed data line protection.
With working voltages of 8 V and 28 V (TISP7015D) and protection voltages of 15 V and 38 V (TISP7038D), these devices can protect against both transverse mode (Metallic) and common-mode (Longitudinal) surges. The TISP70xxD products are guaranteed to withstand 40 A 10/700 surges applied to both Tip and Ring terminals simultaneously.
These devices also benefit from low off-state capacitance, making them ideal for use in low-voltage high-speed transmission systems. This low capacitance reduces the overall equivalent capacitance on the data lines and also reduces the risk of transformer saturation.
Pricing and Availability
The TISP70xxD devices are supplied in our popular 8-pin surface mount SOIC package, which offers a creepage and clearance distance of greater than 2mm between the Tip, Ring & Ground terminals in accordance with IEC 60950 and UL1950. Pricing begins at @body.88 per piece based on quantities of 25K. Samples are now available.
