Six New Surge Line Protection Modules Enhance Bourns' Circuit Protection Portfolio

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Oct. 24. 2002 – Bourns, Inc., a leading manufacturer of electronic components and integrated solutions, today announced the launch of six new Surge Line Protection Modules. These new products provide secondary overcurrent protection for Telecom line cards.
The new Surge Line Protection Modules withstand lightning surge and AC power cross, failing safely under fault conditions while providing closely matched tip and ring overcurrent protection. Their release includes SMD and through hole designs, as well as single blow and resettable fuse options for both GR1089 and ITU requirements.
New products released include models 4A12P-506-500, 4A12P-516-500, 4A08P-505-RC, 4B06B-512-RC, 4B06B-514-RC and 4B08B-503-RC.
Pricing and Availability Pricing for the Bourns® Surge Line Protection Modules series begins at $1 - $2 USD per piece in increments of 10K. Sample quantities are available and are offered for evaluation. Current lead time on the products is eight weeks.
