The design kit, PN-DESIGNKIT-47, contains a Bourns® high-surge programmable thyristor (TISP9110MDMR-S) along with ceramic PTC resettable fuses for effective protection of SLICs that must operate under 4 kV 10/700 μs surge conditions. Each kit contains sufficient Bourns® components to prototype five boards. Telecom applications that need overvoltage protection for this type of interface include wireless local loop, access and regenerated POTS equipment as well as VOIP applications.
