硫黄環境下では、銀やその他の元素との化学反応により膜抵抗器に悪影響が生じます。硫化物の生成により抵抗器がオープン状態となるおそれがあります。耐硫黄型抵抗器では動作寿命が標準的な装置に比べて約20倍となります。Bourns®の耐硫黄型膜抵抗器およびアレイなら、このような腐食に関連した修理を要する故障を大幅に低減あるいは排除することができ、システムの信頼性、性能、ならびに堅牢性が向上し、ダウンタイムが低減します。

生産終了この記号が付いている製品は現在入手可能ですが、新設計での使用は推奨できません。
