Our Customer Service Organization has an opportunity for a Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this position you will:
  • Act as a liaison between customer and internal departments to resolve customer queries to ensure optimal customer service is achieved.
  • Analyze and respond to customer generated order status, open order reports, performance reports and quotations as requested in a timely manner.
  • Assure compliance with applicable Corporate agreements or Company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and process daily, weekly and monthly reports.
  • This is not a high-volume call center operation. Our Customer Service Representatives work individually in a business to business environment with assigned customers in achieving high levels of satisfaction providing information and support as needed.
The right candidate should have the following training and experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent. Associates or Bachelors in related field a plus.
  • 1-2 years' experience in customer service preferably in related technical, sales or electronics.
  • Individuals with experience with SAP highly desired.
  • Strong mathematical and reasoning skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

We are seeking a Director of Engineering to make significant contributions to growth and profit through the development and support of Trimpot, Materials Group, and Fixed Resistors operations.

In this position you will provide leadership, planning, management, and development of the Trimpot, Materials Group, Fixed Resistors engineering teams. Align new product development with the Product Line Managers and Market Directors to ensure product development meets or exceeds market and customer requirements. Lead the engineering team with a Six Sigma mentality to ensure excellent customer service, with a focus on continuous improvement, cost effectiveness, and superior product development.

This role has the following accountabilities:

  • Drives operations in continuous improvement, cost reduction, yield, quality improvement, supply chain development, and use of integrated systems for managing engineering and production processes.
  • Builds and maintains an engineering team to ensure excellence through the selection of qualified staff members, including the development and promotions of employees, while ensuring the team receives technical training that enables them to keep abreast of evolving technical trends.
  • Sets the overall direction of the Engineering organization that secures the long-term success of the Business Unit by:
    • Defining organization structure, roles and responsibilities;
    • Selecting and managing performance of key players in the organization;
    • Ensure that Managers and employees receive appropriate coaching, mentoring and training; and
    • Regularly access the performance of the organization through Key Performance Indicators (e.g., new product output).
  • Designs, maintains, and monitors a Technology Roadmap that is in line with Product Line Managers and Market Directors strategy. Monitors and assess the impact of technology and market trends in the field and make recommendations or take action accordingly.
  • Supports Division Product Line Managers and Market Directors in development and execution of short and long term NPI plans for all market segments.
  • Develops short-term and long-range strategies and policies aligned with organizational goals to achieve engineering objectives.
  • Implements cost and quality improvement initiatives by using lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma tools in product design and materials development to prevent production problems, maximize product reliability and minimize cost and risk.
  • Ensures best in class support to internal and external customers:
    • Proactively support Operations with resolution of any technical issues that may arise in production, and incentives to improve yields, efficiencies and cost to meet product targets.
    • Oversee technical communication with both existing and prospective suppliers to ensure technical aspects of the business are conducted in a fair and efficient manner.
    • Support Marketing and Sales to ensure field personnel and customers receive accurate and timely design collateral and problem resolution guidance from the Engineering team when required.
  • Ensures test and analysis facilities are well maintained, including documentation, and required capabilities are available to support NPD, failure analysis, and customer testing.
  • Supports IATF 16949 and ISO9100 certifications efforts or any other certifications as required.
  • Consults with outside consultants, vendors, agents, contractors, and other professional individuals on matters affecting product development and operations.
  • Ensures proper maintenance of requisite engineering laboratory notebooks and confer with Legal Counsel on patent activity.
If you have the right experience along with the ability to work effectively with a globally distributed, multi-culture team we want to talk with you. The right candidate should have the following training and experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Engineering. Advanced degree in Engineering or MBA desirable.
  • Ten to fifteen (10-15) years of substantially progressive experience in the field of engineering management.
  • Understanding of materials science, process improvement and engineering design associated with materials, electromechanical products and electronics.
  • R&D, design, development and manufacturing experience in passive devices preferably fixed resistors, precision resistors, variable resistors & potentiometers.
  • Strong project management skills are required to organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects through timely completion and be able to continually evaluate project status and make appropriate adjustments. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Kaizen and Six Sigma training.

Our Operations Support Assistant is responsible for assisting in a variety of operational support efforts that includes, but not limited to: data Processing, customer and part number maintenance, VSP (volume sales pricing) maintenance, logistical support and sales administration. Maintains related files; works on special assignments; and performs related duties as necessary where assigned.

This position is based at our Worldwide Corporate Headquarters in Riverside, California. This role reports directly to the Manager Sales operations.

The successful candidate will have the following accountabilities:

  • Collects data from shippers import websites and records into designated files.
  • Assists with resolving shipment issues and maintaining logistical records. Basic understanding of computerized database will be utilized for tracking of shipments.
  • Supports Sales Program Manager, as needed, by gaining business and systems knowledge to support global projects to help support established deadlines.
  • Supports Data Administrator with collecting data and preparation of book pricing.
  • Supports maintaining databases to ensure integrity of system data.
  • Processes and maintains (VSP) claims.
  • Reconciles and report related tariff charges.
  • Provides support to any specialized distribution sales program required.
  • Provides admin support to ECS Sales Team.
  • Provides back up support to logistics, data and sales admin team.
  • Develops business knowledge for report generation using tableau, Model N, Excel charts and SAP.
  • Works to achieve target goals established by supervisor.
